“When you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” – Henry Ford
NLP Practitioner (ABNLP Certified)
Like it or not, our beliefs, conscious or unconscious, guide our behaviour – either to help us achieve greatness or lead us away from our goals through self sabotage.
Psychologists believe that there are 3 factors that define our behavioural trait – heredity, role models and experiences. Role models affect us usually up to the age of 12, while we begin to be more aware of our experiences around the age of 5.
Both heredity and role models are experiences of other people, why not make the most of your own experiences? We believe experiences can have the greatest impact on our behaviour, and therefore our results, when we can better understand how our mind works, both consciously and unconsciously. Our conscious mind can only process a limited number of things at anyone time. Many of our important bodily functions are governed by our unconscious mind, for example, breathing, heart beat, blinking… etc.
If you can think about a skill that you know you do very well, it could be riding a bicycle, playing a sport, operating a machine or perhaps writing a proposal. You consciously learn that skill or behavior and after you have practiced it enough times, you get better and better at doing it and eventually you do not consciously remember the steps anymore, you just do it (unconsciously). Our unconscious mind is very powerful and understanding how it works can help us achieve greater results.
NLP is the study of using the language of the unconscious mind to get desired results.

If you are into gardening, you will know that healthy plants do not happen by chance, they need the right amount of sunlight, the right proportion of nutrients, enough water and the right weather conditions to flourish. The same goes to great teams.
Understanding how great teams develop will not only help us in having more influence with our team mates, it will help our teams know how to work together and produce greater results.
Certified Time Line Therapy (R) Practitioner (TLTA Certified)
Many companies see the benefits of work life balance, as they know that happy employees are more productive. In fact, happy employees stay healthy.
If you keep holding on to the past, you will never really get a hold on the future.
Dealing with negative emotions can be stressful. Negative emotions have been widely known to cause “wear and tear” in a person’s biological systems, resulting in illnesses like stroke, diabetes and heart disease. Chronic anger and anxiety can alter the heart’s electrical stability, accelerating atherosclerosis and increase systemic inflammation.
“A merry heart does good, like medicine,
but a broken spirit dries the bones.”
People have long believed that a joyful heart heals or protects the body like medicine but a burdened or stressed one causes death. Since the 1950s cardiologists have linked heart diseases to Type A personalities (e.g. highly stressful, ambitious, impatient, “workaholics”…etc) 1
Jack P. Shonkoff, Julius B. Richmond FAMRI Professor of Child Health and Development at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and Professor of Paediatrics at Harvard Medical School also mentioned that early childhood stress such as chronic neglect, exposure to violence or living alone with a parent with mental illness can have negative effects on one’s brain and other organs.
In a recent study of 6,000 men and women aged 25 to 74 over 20years, Laura Kubzansky (Professor of Behavioural Sciences, HSPH) showed that positive emotions such as enthusiasm, hopefulness and emotional balance in stressful situations seemed to reduce coronary heart disease 2. This positive effect was so prominent and measurable that they can be compared to desirable behaviours like not smoking and regular exercise.
So what do we do when we have negative emotions like anger, sadness, fear, hurt and guilt? What do we do if we have early childhood stresses or when we meet people who need help to get rid of such negative emotions? How can we face life’s stresses and challenges with positive emotions? Our Time Line Therapy®(TLT) Practitioner and TLT Master Practitioner training will help you achieve all these. You can literally live life differently and change how other people live their lives with these techniques.
